Winter is without a doubt our favorite season. You don’t need an excuse to bake every weekend, cozy up with friends to re-watch old movies, layer like it’s nobody’s biz, and prep like an overachiever for the upcoming holiday season. With the first day of winter less than a month away, here are a few of things we’re planning on tackling this year… Think of it as a really, really fun ‘to-do’ list!
1. Learn how to make apple cider donuts.
2. Do a house purge where every weekend you tackle a different closet. (you go, girl!)
3. Rent a cabin up north for a long weekend away with friends.
4. Master three new soups.
5. Compile a list of cold weather trends to try (including our favorite, fur!)
6. Host a baked potato bar party. Can you say delish?
7. Visit a ghost town.
8. Make pumpkin butter and package in jars for gifts.
With polyester cobwebs and black spiders dangling in windows across the city, it’s pretty obvious that Halloween has crept up on us once again. And, as we find ourselves only weeks away from the hair-raising holiday, we are faced with a dreadful decision — what will our costumes be? No doubt, some of us embrace this fantasy-filled occasion and have been planning our wicked getups since last November. But, if your costume cauldron is looking a little sparse, this decision can be a harrowing one.
Alas, we’re here to inspire your otherworldly Halloween looks…

So we totally have you covered when it comes to your fall transition wardrobe (check out our new arrivals must-haves from Bobi, below), but if you’re anything like us, sometimes it feels like your hairstyle is always stuck in last season. Before you go for something drastic, try out a look we LOVE and that is super simple to replicate at home, the Fishtail Halo Braid. We love updos in the winter because it pulls your hair up and away from the dramatic collars and statement necklaces. It will also spare you a trip to the salon and months of waiting for your hair to grow back
